Most of the manufacturers participated
and the shafts used were generally hand picked top of
the line arrows. Carbon Tech participated, but in a
unique way. We suggested that they go to their local
dealer and get some and we promised that we would replace
them once we had some to send. The student felt it would
be a disadvantage for us since we did not hand pick
the arrows. He was told not to worry, we felt very comfortable
in letting him get a dozen right off the shelf.
Carbon Tech prides itself in making
the most accurate and consistent arrow in the world.
We don’t build arrows just for Olympic athletes
but we want to make sure that you get what you pay for
and then some.
Well the results are in and there is
no question that Carbon Tech won the test hands down!
The arrows were shot at 100 yards. I know that this
appears to be a bit distant. After all, who would shoot
at anything that far?!! Well, if you put a broadhead
on, the arrow becomes much more critical. Thus, the
100 yard test is as close as you can get to shooting
standard field points so you can compare them to 17
yards with a broadhead. Don’t forget that the
further back you go, the more critical the broadheads
become. At 15 to 20 yards, it is like shooting at 100
yards with a field point!
